Biggest Loser Couples: Episode 1 -- Focus on What You Can Do
This will be a short post, because it is a simple concept.
THERE ARE NO EXCUSES FOR NOT GETTING HEALTHY
It is just a matter of how bad you want it. Now, I know that there are some circumstances that we cannot control, but most of the time losing weight is a matter of finding a way to get there and sticking to it.
James was sitting in the gym and had a very real emotion. He has an old football injury -- a bum knee. It limits his cardio. As a result, he feels at a disadvantage, because he cannot do the cardio work that everyone else can do. These stories are not only from the Biggest Loser. I spoke with a lady some time ago who was limited to a wheelchair and felt she couldn't lose weight.
The truth is that regardless of our situations we can conquer them. History is full of men and women who have done extraordinary things because they set their minds to do them. Losing weight is no different. It's not about what you can't do. It's about what you CAN!
Can't walk? Do upper body movements.
Can't run? Walk.
Can't go outside? Walk your stairs inside or around your house.
Can't stand up? Do the arms part of jumping jacks.
It all comes down to setting your mind to accomplish your goal and train your mind to never take no for an answer. It may not be easy; in fact, it may be very, very hard. But you can still get there.
As that famous quote goes: "Never, never, never give up!"

CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING RELATED TO HEALTH AND FITNESS! I am
under a doctor's care for my general health, and my workouts are overseen by a professional
trainer. I consult with licensed dieticians about what I eat. I am blogging about my
experience here in the hopes that it might inspire you to
get healthy as well. However, you must realize that I am not a doctor. The views on this
site are only my opinion or understandings about what I'm learning. In some cases, I'm
just reporting about what I find from other sources. Therefore, before you do any type
of exercise, change your diet or make other health related decisions, check with your
doctor, trainer, dietician, nutritionist or other health professional.
